Rachael L. Adger, MSN, ACNP, BC, AOCNP

Rachael received her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh in their Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with a clinical emphasis in Oncology. She completed her clinical practicum at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Center, gaining valuable experience working on the Hematology service, in various Oncology specialty clinics and on the Bone Marrow Transplant team. Rachael is board certified in both Acute Care and in Oncology. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and International Society of Nurses in Genetics.
Rachael has been with Southwest Hematology Oncology since 2005 after relocating to Arizona with her husband. Rachael has since developed Southwest Hematology Oncology’s Cancer Risk Assessment, Screening and Prevention Program (CRASPP) with a focused effort on identifying patients at heightened risk for developing cancer through performing a comprehensive risk evaluation and coordinating appropriate screening and risk reduction strategies.
Rachael also has extensive oncology research experience as a graduate research assistant on several research projects in palliative care, symptom management and racial disparities in metastatic breast cancer.
